The year 2005 bassplayer Sven De Corte and guitarplayer Dirk Coolens decided,after thesplit of their former band Deathtrap, to put their hands together and start a new band…. making fast, brutal and technical metal! KJ joined the band on vocals and they started writing music. A new band was born.... EXILE!! Style; somewhere between power and thrash metal (Children of Bodom, Testament, Kreator, Sadus...). Because the right drummer wasn’t found directly a drummachine was used to finish the songs, meanwhile the search for a drummer went on .... and early 2006 Jeroen ‘Madman’ Matthys joined them, the band was complete and the mood was set .... after a few rehearsels the drumparts were done and new material was made. Things in the band are great and we’re having lots of fun doing what we do. The first gig (12th of august 2006) took place at Billy's Roots festival what was a very good deal of the big exposure and publicity, the name Exile was launched upon the metal world at high speed. The second gig (26-08-06) was in Poperinge (Den Beiaard) at Randrock festival. Two weeks later the demo was recorded and mixed and will be available very soon for all of you to hear. The 19th of september 2006 Exile supported Hypnosis and Greenwald in Gent at the Frontline. The 3rd of november Exile opened for Demonizer, Lugubre and Nocturnal Breed in Kuurne at JhTap.
