About Me

Formed in January 2007, Farther From Resolution is a hard-rock band based out of Long Island, New York. Influenced by rock, metal, pop, and the prolific local Long Island scene, their combination of heavy riffs with almost pop-like, catchy-yet-edgy hooks translates into a sound of their own that appeals to many demographics. The band's members are veterans of the Long Island music scene and include lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist Mike Wahmann (formerly of Striving in Greater Hopes/Product of the 80s), lead guitarist/vocalist Danny Leto (formerly of Blameshift), bassist/vocalist Mike D'Angelo formerly of Blacklisted, and drummer/vocalist A.J. Vekas (formerly of Striving in Greater Hopes/Product of the 80s). In a short period of time, the band has built a dedicated fan base and a has a strong buzz going packing out such venues as The Crazy Donkey, The Village Pub South, Mulchahys, and the Nutty Irishman.
After releasing two live demos, Farther From Resolution (known as 'FFR' to their fans) went into Tiki Studios with producers John 'The Cat' Gatto (The Good Rats) and three-time Grammy nominee Anne-Regina to record their first official single, 'Stay' a soaring tune that showcases the more sensitive side of the band. The band is currently recording their first full length album with producer/engineer Gary Greterson and is hoping for a mid to late June release.
