About Me

From their new home in Oakland,CA (formerly Texas-based), Torture has been receiving rave reviews since the release of their first EP Terror Kingdom in 1987. Their fierce and potent thrash has been critically acclaimed again and again in metal press such as Kerrang!, Metal Forces and Metal Hammer.
Torture has played shows with other powerhouses such as Sepultura, Death, Overkill, Death Angel, Obituary, Dark Angel, Flotsam and Jetsam, Exodus and Dragonlord. Music from their current release Storm Alert has already pierced metal radio around the globe, and has finally made it's way into the hands of the people.
Torture's sound is pure thrash, free of trends, commercialism, and corporate influence. Their music is timeless, and continues the work that bands such as Infernal Majesty, Slayer and Testament have given rise to. Torture is not going anywhere but up and plans to return the metal crown to thrash where it rightfully belongs!
