Avenger of Blood

Avenger of Blood is an extremely aggressive Germanic-influenced thrash metal band, which was started in 2003 by Eric Greaney and Shannon Frye. The two had a single vision and goal: to forge a sound in the vein of Germanic thrash and adding a modern aggressive edge to it. In August of 2003, the onslaught of war and horror started when Avenger of Blood went in and recorded the 3 song "Demo 2003" release, and got great reviews for the hard work. Shortly after, Avenger of Blood moved operations from San Jose California, to Las Vegas Nevada to better suit the band personally and buisiness-wise. There the band found a strong line-up with the addition of Nathan Fichter on lead/rhythm guitars and Shawn Loureiro on bass. With this line-up, the onlsaught commenced in playing the 1st installment of Minneapolis Mayhem.
In March 2005, the debut album "Complete Annihilation" was released and received excellent reviews worldwide. Following the release of the album, Avenger of Blood played Northwest Deathfest, Minneapolis Mayhem 2, Millenium Misic Conference 8, Bay Area Metalfest, and Monsters of Metal. In August, 2005, Marc Flores took over as lead guitarist and newest member.
After returning, the band went back to Minneapolis again to perform at Minneapolis Mayhem 3 and Avenger of Blood went on to record two new songs for the "Speed Kills...Again" compilation which was released on Heavy Artillery Records in May, 2007. These recordings had show progression and maturity, giving a preview of the things that were to come. Avenger of Blood signed to Heavy Artillery Records and recorded the second full-length release at Sound Vision Productions Studios and the album was released worldwide on CD and vinyl in January 2008. In early 2008, a line-up change occurred welcoming Sal Lalli on Vocals/Guitar and Chris Rodriguez on Bass/Backing Vocals.

Thrash bands with the groovy riffs of the present perfectly. This album only contains killers-no fillers at all!!! Old hands will know what to expect reading song titles like "Bound By Torment", "Violent Epiphany" or "Forced To Kill" without having heard one single note. Metalrules.de
In outfit, the guys resemble the legendary "Possessed" and musicaly they're running completely on the good-ol' Kreator-rails. "Complete anihilation" is old school as fuck and this is, of course, very nice, at least from my point of view. bloodchamber.de
