Vicious Circle

Brutality In It's Purest Form

About Me

Vicious Circle is an unrelenting force...a steamroller of adrenaline. Since 1989, these New Jersey based legends have been churning out brutality with their own brand of extreme chaos. Never compromising and never bowing down to the norm. They began with playing the New Jersey/Philadelphia/New York club circuit, building a strong following from their powerful live performances.
Their 1989 self entitled demo was sent to countless fanzines, worldwide for review. The resulting "buzz" led from local area shows to being added to numerous national tour packages in many states throughout the US.
Their 1992 "Fist Of God" demo (featuring the first vocalist Brian Chicano) peaked the interest of Indianapolis based independent label, JL America.
May of 1993 saw the release of the bands debut full length cd, "Cryptic Void".
In 1994, a new 5 song demo was recorded with a new vocalist (Brian Cook) in the band. The '94 demo received great reviews with an amazing response to the new voice in Vicious Circle. This fueled the band for the intense show schedules that were booked, while writing new material for the next and final demo recorded with that vocalist, released in 1997.
Late 1998 saw the arrival of the new vocalist (Darrell Rapp). This time, the new vocal style brought to life an unstoppable brilliance to fit Vicious Circle's musical style perfectly, the result is the full length release "The Art of Agony".
In early 2007 Darrell Rapp left the band (due to health problems) and Brian Cook was brought back into the lineup to continue where he left off. This is not a band for the weak.

What does the metal community have to say about Vicious Circles The Art of Agony?
The punishing extremity that is the sound of Vicious Circle writhes and churns with beloved dischordancy, merciless metalcore causing your guts to churn until you experience auto-evisceration. Even then youre still moving, bouncing, killing yourself on concrete walls as the brutality escalates, maintains, refuses to back down. Loud, fast, change-ups cranking out, the music of VC is war declared on the gutless but happy listener.
You have been commanded by the FORCES!! Get The Art of Agony now!! The gods will not be pleased if you do not indulge.
