"BARNINE -Self Titled EP"

"At last someone not jumping on the Hardcore bandwagon.BARNINE have the heavy rock groove working for them and they are opening up the old school rock to the more modern genres with touches of Metal,Emo and a smidgeon of Indie laced Funk, think of a Velvet Revolver thats has had to rely on talent and song writng abilities instead of super group fame and has been taking tips from Bon Jovi. These are obviously talented guys that will no doubt gain a big audience over time if given the oppertunity to play and should really be a stadium band in time"

Review by PHOENIX for DEVOLUTION MAGAZINE May 2007.

Barnine are a 4 piece rock metal band from Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire.

They were officially formed in October 2005. Lead vocalist/guitarist Chris cordall and lead guitarist Mark Stewart had been writing songs together for a few years but could never seem to find the right genre or style of music which felt right. Late September was when Mark Wollington joined on the drums who had already been in a band (Kraw) with chris some years previous,The first few practice's were great and they seemed to find a common ground in genre but there was one element of a proper rock/metal band missing, A bass player who was capable of the job. The missing link was found in October 05 when bass player Pete Cook joined who was a friend of drummer Mark and had also played in bands together previous. With the line up complete the band were working really well together, So well that they played their first gig together two months later in the December of 2005

2006 was a great year for the band, They recorded their self titled 6 track ep which was self produced. The rest of the year was spent giging with the band getting great reviews and comments from pretty much everywhere on how tight they were and what a great, full sound they had.In December 2007 Barnine started to record a new 3 track demo which was again self produced. The demo was finnished in February 2008, the songs reflect a kind of new direction for the band and they should be playing out of your speakers right now! Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Now Barnine look forward to seeing you all at their gigs in 2008 wherever they go armed with some cracking new songs and a positive attitude towards the future

Barnine are currently looking to try get as many gigs as they can both local and anywhere they can get to, so if anyone wants to gig with them just give them a bell, [email protected] they'll play as many gigs as they can

so come down check them out!!!
