Shelly Hughes

1. Stats: 5’6”, blonde/blue, yada, yada.
2. I have a southern- New England accent.
3. I always have water with me. I get very thirsty.
4. I go to the bathroom a lot
5. I’ve played the guitar since I was 5.
6. Several times I have been wrongfully accused of being aloof.
7. I attended the Berklee College of Music for guitar, and actually have a degree.
8. I have no favorite song, TV show, color, poem, movie, person, band, or thing.
9. I can be talked into or talked out of almost anything by a skilled negotiator.
10. I never yell.
11. I have never cheated on a mate.
12. I don’t like jewelry.
13. When I attended Berklee and lived in Boston, I had an Asian rock star living in my closet.
14. I am extremely stubborn, but at the same time will realize how ridiculous I am.
15. I can always hold my liquor, but can perform much better without it.
16. I am an advanced open water diver.
17. I am a cautious optimist.
18. Most of my friends are men.
19. I rarely need prodding. In fact, if anything, I am the prod.
20. I have an FCC license to be an “on air personality”.
21. I suck at all sports that involve small balls, especially golf.
22. I’m obsessed with buying gear.
23. I am stubbornly loyal, and will fight to the end even when all hope is lost.
24. My eyes are grey in the winter and blue in the summer.
25. I can’t cook, but I like to try.
26. Once in college I went to a party, got drunk, lost my shoes, and had to walk home barefoot 6 miles in the snow.
27. I have been hurt very badly in the past.
28. I don’t particularly enjoy gambling, but I enjoy the vibe of a casino.
29. I love to travel.
30. It is painfully obvious when I lie.
31. I love vegetables, especially green ones.
32. I love the beach, but only at night.
33. I studied French for 6 years and Spanish for 3 years, and the only thing I can do is say hello and count to five.
34. I was on a school field trip to the Kennedy space center when the Challenger shuttle blew up before my eyes.
35. I used to be a certified lifeguard.
36. I used to be a Jagermeister and Grey Goose girl.
37. I’m an incredibly light sleeper. I’m usually always up. Birds chirping in the morning wake me up. The garbage men wake me up.
38. I don’t find anything intimidating. Which may be why some people find me so intimidating.
39. I didn’t own a T.V. until I was 22 years old. My boyfriend made me buy one.
40. I strongly prefer young Elvis to old Elvis.
41. I don’t eat fast food.
42. I enjoy all kinds of music except for old country and opera. I can tell you everything you’ve ever wanted to know about the opera, and I still hate it.
43. Last 5 real books I’ve read: All too Human- George Stephanopoulos, the New York Public Library American History Desk Reference, Created Unequal – James K. Galbraith, The Brothers Karamazov – Fyodor Dostoyevsky, Argument Without End – Robert McNamara.
44. Have I mentioned I’m obsessed with acquiring gear?
45. My cat’s name is Oreo Margarine and she has mental issues.
46. I have a good man who I love very, very much and I’ve decided to keep him.
47. I own at least one gun.
48. I have two different passports with two different names on them. Same with my driver’s license. Who shall I be today?
