January 2008 Guitar Player Magazine Editor's Pick is our Triple Drive Supreme!
Watch the Demo Below:
Sometimes, on some very rare occasions, almost spiritually, things just come together - whether it’s a truly special combination of woods that produce a unique instrument, or when just the right group of musicians converge to become a single magical voice.
I was lucky to grow up in a musical family. My parents were both musicians, and my dad owned a music store filled with what eventually became today’s classic instruments. I can’t remember a time I didn’t hear music while growing up, much of it live. I was also quite fortunate to learn to repair tube guitar amps from a retired engineer, who did repairs for my dad in the local TV store. I began playing guitar, and played with local rock bands. I worked as a professional musician as soon as I could drive! I started working on guitar amps on NYC’s “music row” in the late 70’s. I followed that warm glow from tubes throughout my career, spending time at New York Audio Labs, and eventually manufacturing my own high-end vacuum tube audio products, and designing a number of tube products for Dynaco Corp.
Eventually, my musical and electronic paths converged, and I began building my own tube guitar amps. In the beginning, it was just for me. Rebuilding an old amp, to see how many more watts, how much more overdrive and gain, or how little noise could I squeeze out of a given pile of parts I took these amps to local open-mic nights and blues jams. Before I knew it, I was selling these hot-rodded amps to others both locally and eventually worldwide on the Internet.
One thing I realized was that tube guitar amplifier circuit technology hadn’t really advanced, like high-end tube audio equipment. I knew the only way to sculpt a unique tone was to start with a clean sheet of paper. Guided by my ears and (always) with a guitar in my hands, I put my thirty years of experience to work. Besides computer circuit modeling, I used time-honored high-end concepts such as: nonferrous chassis materials, high storage regulated power supplies, high-speed diodes, DC regulated heater supplies, and premium passive components. The end result raised the levels of performance to a whole new level. By combining the best attributes of PC boards and hand wiring, we craft products that are unique, reliable, quiet and consistent.
In just eight short years, Fuchs Audio Technology® has established itself as a highly respected new voice in guitar amplification. We invite you to discover a new palette of touch sensitivity and musicality through our products. We offer a full line of both heads and combos ranging from 7 to 150 watts and one to three channels, all of which will let your truest musical soul be heard!
Our Endorsers
"For me the Fuchs amps deliver amazing tonal variety. The playability is another critical factor, it actually makes playing easier.
Great tone and feel, who wouldn't like that?" - Dweezil Zappa
