About Me

June 2007 - Invisible NEWS-----------------------------I know it's been a while since I last posted news about the upcoming album but you can't rush diamonds. The big news is that I've collaborated with Homer Quirk of "Homer Y Los Hambre Hombres". Homer has contributed his own blend of percussive rhythms to the new SMASH hit "See Me". I case you missed it, it's pretty ironic that a band named "The Invisibles" has released a song titled "See Me" but that is just another example of the cutting edge humor you've come to expect from R&I. On to album news, I've been working hard with acclaimed photographer Roberto Porraso to come up with a concept for the cover art for the new album. Capturing the essence of "The Invisibles" is harder then you may think but I think we've lock onto a concept. I'd tell you more but I have to save some surprises.-------------------------------------------Dole is Back!!!------------------------------------------ After a short hiatus, Dole has returned to the Invisibles to dole out some white hot harp licks. Dolefully The Invisibles had to reject our other applicants for the harmonica player position. In other words, “Rt, You can stop calling. You’re starting to look a little desperate.” When asked to comment, Rob had this to say about Dole’s return “On behalf of my self and the Invisibles we’re all thrilled to have Dolamyte back in the band. We know recovery has been a long hard road for him and that he will need to maintain rigid discipline to recover from his Viagra addiction. But once you’re an Invisible, your invisible for life.” Dole's first contribution to the new album is on the new smash hit "Life is Beautiful Too".---------------------------- October 2006---------------------------------------------Hello R and I Fans, I hope your enjoying your visit to the newly remodeled site. Not only can you hear the latest “R and I” tracks but now you can view all of your favorite original “R and I” artwork on our new Slide viewing box. One of these great designs may be used on our new limited addition tee shirt, which may be available for the holidays. So, please feel free to cast your vote in the comment section. Now for the question that’s on all your minds “How is the new album coming”? Absolutely awesome!!!! As you can tell from the posted tracks the theme of the new album is “Keeping it Real”. While some artists write about falling in love in the aftermath of nuclear war or some cosmic spiritual crap, I’ve opted to write about things I actually know something about (traffic, greed and the comforts of monotony). Now for some sad news, it seems that somewhere in the history of every great rock band there’s always a member who struggles with a chemical addiction and now it looks like “Rob and The Invisibles” are no exception. The sad truth is that Bob Dole’s obsession with Viagra has prevented him from contributing artistically to the band. A lesser man would make jokes about Bob’s condition but I feel things have been hard on Bob for far too long already. So, who will Bob’s replacement be? A singer with the initials R.t. has begged for the job but the band isn’t convinced he has what it takes to be invisible. Bob Barker has expressed interest and the price is right but we still haven’t made up our minds. Stay tuned for breaking developments.----------------------------------------------- ------------------------------------------------------ Hello Rob and the Invisibles Fans, Welcome to our new home. As you probably know "Rob and the Invisibles" is a spectacular new band made up of Rob and a bunch of other people named Robert, Bob, Bert or Bobby but they're not important. Lets focus on Rob. After a prolonged hiatus from music Rob decided in the summer of 2005 it was time to return to the music scene and began to feverishly record new material for his come back album NICE DOGGY. Naturally Nice Doggy was well received and nearly two dozen copies were distributed on cassette. One of the limited release copies made it into the hands of film maker Ryan Dalton who immediately decided he wanted to use "Pop Tune" as the score for his upcoming film "The Mover". Ryan's people contacted Rob's people a meeting was arranged, a deal was made and Rob recorded a few additional tracks for the film. The rest is history. Now it's September 2006. Production has begun on the new R&I untitled second album. While "Nice Doggy" had a strong blues influence the new album is showing signs of a classical influence. One critic describes Rob's songs as "something you may hear in a Satanic opium den". If that's not a complement what is? Now for the big news, the new album will be released in the spring of 2007 on CD.So get your digital devices ready. See you this spring.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4 Get Your Own! | View Slideshow mspmb enableJSURL="false" allowScriptAccess="never" allownetworking="internal" enableJavascript="false"

This is a really cool site. It tests your ability to hear subtle differences in music. I only scored an 80.6. That sounds about right for me.   http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v300/Ic...
