I'm a Drummer and Vibes/ Marimba player (and sometimes a piano player) from Cornwall. I've been living and making music in London for more than ten years now.
My band Gemini is part of London's new exciting scene of players/composers, the Loop Collective. Checkout the website loopcollective.org. Our first record - 'Emergence' - is out now on Loop Records. The music ranges from odd meter grooves through free passages to lush swingers. It features the enormously talented Ivo Neame on sax who's also a killing Pianist!! Mick Coady is on Double Bass and, having taken over from Tom Skinner who plays on the album, Dave Smith is now drumming.
I also have a straight ahead group - the Jim Hart 4tet - with Ivo, Mick and drummer Tristan Malliot.
Aswell as my own groups I play regularly with many other bands including Martin Drew's (drummer for Oscar Peterson, Ronnie Scott, etc) New Jazz Couriers, Stan Sulzmann trio, the Stefano Kalinaris Group and the Norwiegan influenced, Laptop fuelled stylings of Matt Calvert.
Anyway glad to be here in magical world of myspace. Let's party!!!
