About Me

The sound clips on this page have had to be cut, as they were too long to upload on to Myspace. To hear these clips in full, plus many more, please visit www.johnescreet.com
Hi! My name is John, I am 23 years old and I play the piano. I am originally from the UK, but in September 2006 I moved to live in New York, and to study at the Manhattan School of Music, where I recently graduated from the Masters Program. Whilst there I was fortunate enough to study with two of my favorite piano players, Kenny Barron and Jason Moran. I am lucky enough to play with many people in New York, who I consider to be some of the finest musicians in the world. Too many to mention, but I always learn so much from all of them. To find out where I might be playing check my itinerary here, or visit my website www.johnescreet.com for more detailed information. Peace - JE
"Bemsha Swing" Live at The Pizza Express in London, with Phil Donkin, Colin Stranahn and Ben van Gelder
