Guitarist, Composer

About Me

Born and raised in Connecticut, I began playing guitar and studying music at age 13. My initial "studying" consisted of sitting in front of the family turntable (yes, the age of vinyl and 8 track tapes) for hours on end and doing my best to cop parts from my favorite Hendrix and Zeppelin albums, and of course, driving my parents and siblings absolutely insane! Thanks to my family for enduring the process!!While much of my learning experience came from doing gigs, jamming, practicing and hanging with the best players I could find, I also had some great teachers along the way including, Bob "Bobby T" Thompson, Regi Wooten, Dave Santoro, Bob Kobus and Simon Salz. I attended the Hartford Conservatory of Music (now known as The Hartford Camerata Conservatory, I think) for private instruction and full-time for several semesters, with additional studies in Miami on arranging and theory. I also had the good fortune to have participated in interactive seminars with Joe Pass, Jerry Bergonzi and Chico Hamilton.Over the years I have been fortunate to have performed, recorded and/or written with a number of monstrously talented musicians - some well known, some not-so-well-known. Some of the more notable folks include: Jimmy McGriff, Dr. Lonnie Smith, Lou Donaldson, Don Miller, Cody Moffett, Brad Russell, Jair-Rohm Wells, Norman Arnold, Jonathan Joseph, Lee Levin, Joe Locke, Mongo Santamaria, Robert Thomas, Jr., Freddy Cole, Gloria Coleman, Gene Ludwig, John "Spider" Martin, Pete Minger, Alice Day, New World Symphony (conducted by Bill Conti). . . Let me not forget several folks on the most current project: Ric Fierabracci, Christian Howes and Joel Rosenblatt.I am available for remote session work on select original music projects as a guitarist, programmer and mix engineer. For rates and info and to discuss your project's specific needs, contact me via e-mail here or at [email protected].* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *Photography is one of my other loves and the graffiti photos found in the pics section are just a few of the many exceptional works I have photographed throughout the South Florida area since arriving here in 1981. On occasion, I'll be posting pics of other subjects that interest me.
