About Me

Being inspired by the Beatles, as were many people of the era, Graham took up the guitar in the mid 60’s at the age of nine and has been a part of the Kentucky/Tennessee music scene since the early 70’s. He has a wide variety of musical interests ranging from Classic Rock, Progressive Rock, Blues, and more recently Folk, and Celtic. Graham enjoys playing a number of stringed instruments such as: electric and acoustic guitar, electric & upright bass, bouzouki, & a bit of dulcimer & mandolin. This experience has given him diverse opportunities of performing in many venues from small House Concerts to being part of a group that made it all the way to the finals at the International Blues Challenge in 2004.After retiring from his “Real Job” with a local electric utility in January 2002 he’s been able to pursue his love of music fulltime, performing with dozens of groups and musicians. His immersion in music has also stimulated a long-held interest in songwriting, particularly the narrative song influenced through many folk traditions.

My Interests

When he’s not perusing his solo work or promoting his recently released CD Graham enjoys being a part of several area musical groups. Currently he is the bassist and a vocalist for the Classic Rock band Cootie Brown and is also part of the Folk/Celtic duo Shadowdancer that includes Jack Montgomery on guitar, harmonica, and Appalachian dulcimer and Graham on lead guitar, bouzouki,(btw:if you're looking for a hand made bouzouki, check out my friend Rob's site) vocals, as well as some added bass work. http://www.sonicbids.com/epk/epk.asp?epk_id=30835
