Geek Love Explosion

About Me

I uploaded lyrics to Geek Love Explosion. Rumor has it the Geeks will be playing a Capital Arts benefit in Bowling Green September 20th 2008.Geek Love Explosion was formed in the late 90's after me, ex-Government Cheese beer spewer and lead screamer, Skot Willis, Fenner "the Gimp" Castner, John Martin and Mike "Snatch" Natcher decided the world needed another post-punk rock band. The band played about town a bit and recorded these few tunes in a concrete basement. Luckily the guy that taped us knew how to get the best out of the room with minimal gear. I posted some Government Cheese tunes here on Snocap along with the Geek songs. "This America" was written in angst before 9/11. I did not want to play it after. My boredom seemed very trivial compared to what those guys went through in the greatest city on earth and compared with what the folks are going through in Iraq. "2000 Light Years Today" was written in 1999, giving my take on the Y2K paranoia. "Geek Love Explosion" was inspired by the book Geek Love, the SOKY Fair, the movie Freaks and general human oddities.Unfortunately, the Geeks only lasted a couple years. Jobs, kids, wives, lives and other interests stopped the mayhem from continuing, but screaming obscenities, spraying beer on the crowd, and stage diving are activities that are not over rated. I truly miss the broil. You never know, the band may play a Bar Mitzvah near you soon. CheersIf you leave an advertisement or something like "Check out my band" in the comments it will be deleted.
