About Me

Dolly Mixture is a monthly club featuring cool cuts from the past and present. Presenting a diverse selection of promising live acts local, national and international the night also welcomes Guest DJs. Previous guests have included Ailidh Lennon of Sons and Daughters, Amanda MacKinnon of Data Panik/Bis and Emma Pollock of The Delgados.

Run by Josefin, Sara and Laura, the fun can be found on the first Saturday of every month in Glasgow's new venue the Flying Duck. The night began at Stereo in Glasgow’s West End in April 2005, where the Dollies hosted a number of local acts before growing and moving… Since June 2006 they’ve hosted a regular club night at MacSorleys and Barfly, as well as spinning records in Rio Café, the CCA bar, the Polar Bar at ABC, “Hey You Get Off My Pavement” festival at Mono, Blietzkrieg Bop at the Arches, Tack!Tack!Tack! -London, The Gulag Club -Edinburgh, Way to Blue Festival -Falkirk etc. The club was credited no.4 in Ed Potton’s Top 5 Clubs in March and is gloriously featured in the June edition of respected Brighton music mag Plan B.
Always trying their best to give the bands they love a chance to play to likeminded people and to give people they love an opportunity to hear great music.

My Interests

Playing music, going to gigs, listening to tunes, dressing in a rock fashion, being switched on and independent, loving, hating, acting sweet n' sour, mood swings, assertiveness, not taking any shit, having fun with bubblegum, boys of Summer, being complex so that men can't figure us out. Basically all activites not confined to shopping, doin' yer nails and wearing a pretty skirt.

I'd like to meet:

Anyone interested in some good rock n' roll racket, pop nonsense and smooth sounds...
