i have been playing double bass for roughly 3 years now.. but i only count two of them because the other three were playing for my high school band one hour a week and not practising any other time. i taught myself on the electric for one year, but was forced onto the double bass and i haven't turned back since. double bass is awesomer anyways. i like to try and play anything if i can, but some things are super hard for me to play. soo i mainly like to play jazz and latin stuff, but i also play funk, folk, classical stuff and other kinds of music. but i listen to ALLLL music.. from oldtime country to death metal. i'm currently going for my music degree at vcc and i'm studying bass with laurence mollerup. i am very proud to be a part of a bunch of projects right now. i'm in a couple bluegrass bands, some gyspy jazz groups, a jazz funk band, and even a rock band!! i recently took up the electric bass for a project, but i still love my double bass and am not very good on electric yet. it's a work in progress.. i'll get it. haha.. the transition from double to electric is a lot harder than i thought! soo i'm keeping busy and having a blast! also... besides music being my whole life!! i also LOVE hockey. just thought you'd like to know. hahaha. anyways, thanks for checkin out my myspace annnnnnd enjoy? cheers.
