MSK is the name used by the sicilian musician Antonino Musco for his electronic-jazz-oriented studio efforts to differentiate from his work with movie soundtracks and musical bands like Sicilian AV project , Maya Lee or Fracoz Combo .
Since 1995 he plays guitars as selfmade, he studied classic guitar with maestro Gabriello and composition and jazz improvisation with maestro Claudio Cusmano, of the Mediterrean Jazz Orchestra.
He also plays keyboards and drums and, in love with the home recording, since 2003 he approached the digital composition, pushed by the unlimited chances of the samplers, drum machines and sequencers.
Graduated philosopher, he studies for Sound Engineer at Saint Louis Music College, Rome.
As a movie score composer he wrote the original soundtrack of Sebastiano Greco's shortmovie "Una storia fine a se stessa" (best film prize at Volcano Film Festival contest, 2005), Dario Marino & Enrico Calvagna's "Sweetcases" and "Specters" and for the TV shows "Gombik" and "Armadny Magazin" for the Slovak National Television.
As a Sound Engineer he recorded music of Anemos Quartet, Sicilian AV project, MSK and Fracoz Combo; he was actor and sound engineer for the tv movie "Petali di Rosa" with Claudia Koll and Antonella Ponziani (best film prize at Cavallino d'Argento RAI 2007).
He is also a dj and performer, and his audiovisual show Sicilian AV project -mixing sicilian literature with music, illustration and videos in a experimental live set- was presented in many visual arts festivals and galleries, like Athens, Rome, Palermo, Bratislava and his artwork A picture of you is part of the Evolution de l'Art.
Former president and webmaster of Erroneo, sicilian webzine against all kind of mafias, and he lives and works in Rome.
