He's a cartoonist in his soul. He was born in the Sicilian hot land in 1980, the october 14th. The same day, 54 years before, the book Winnie the Pooh was published for the first time. Is it casual? He's engaged with visual arts, mainly illustration. His third arm is the pencil.
During a three years long experience into ADV agencies, son of a 20 years long passion, he achieved a big ability in several illustration techniques: W/b, china ink, water pens (Pantone), watercolors, pastels, digital raster colorization, vector illustration tout-court. His art studies are quiet various: ha attended comic-stages, illustration courses (in Italy & in Germany) and a web animation course.
Kanjano works and worked for sicilian ADV agencies as a freelance illustrator, graphic and web designer. Among his clients there's the University of Catania: he has drawn posters, t-shirts, CD-Roms for the Computer Sciences Dept. and has illustrated a TV-formats book for the Literature Dept. As an artist he draws illustrations, comics and satyre for several magazines, webzines and e-zines.
He also illustrates and illustrated children fairy tales and Music CD covers.
He got a Philosophy Master Degree with an aesthetics' thesis about an Italian Comic author (Andrea Pazienza). He's also engaged in "creative writing": he writes for an anti-mafia sicilian journal (www.erroneo.org) and for another journal from Rome (www.bazarweb.info).
