I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

I've lived in England most of my life. I'm from my beloved East London. Did have a spell in L.A. in 1984, during which time, Quadrophenia saw it's US release, saw one day of the track and field events at the Olympics, (We got SLAUGHTERED!)and I also encountered a brand new branch of the Mod/60's scene. Happy days! I'm passionate about music above all other arts. In fact I'd say being born in 1965 qualifies me as being thoroughly spoilt in terms of popular music.I cannot take myself too seriuosly. After all, I'm a West Ham United FC fan through and through. None of that Manchester United glory hunting rubbish for me thank you. Besides, I think the UK Premier League is run by a bunch of complete barclays bankers. SUPPORT YOUR LOCAL NON LEAGUE CLUB! THEY NEED YOU!Xfm104.9 in London, www.xfm.co.uk/listen The John Kennedy Xposure show is radio GOD.This is a lovely idea too: "

My Interests

Perpetual student of the university of life.

I'd like to meet:

The Pipettes/Cassette-again. Kieth Richards. Lemmy. Anyone who's into loving where they come from, and telling funny things that happen to them. Also railways---so I'd better include Jools Holland,Joe Brown of The Bruvvers, (Ex locomotive fireman of Stratford Depot.)Michael Palin, Rod Stuart, Gloria Hunniford and Pete Waterman. (Ex train driver, and collector of vintage trains -REAL ones!) Oh, and not forgetting, anyone who is broadminded about music. I always listen to bands who request an add.

Music:

Started with old soul, sixties pop and classical (mum played a lot of this.) Decided Abba and blondie were way cool, discovered heavy metal/rock, during which time, ALONG CAME THE JAM! Since then my tastes have diffused and continue to be diverse.

Movies:

QUADROPHENIA, The Lady Killers, Bill and Ted's... Johnny Dangerously, Malcolm (obviously), Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, Johnny Dangerously, This Is Spinal Tap, Enemy Of The State, The Song Remains The Same. 633 Squadron, My Summer of Love. Good Will Hunting, The shawshank Redemption, Small Faces, A Reckless Heart, The Right Stuff(Especially for the test flight of the Lockheed Starfighter -Er, excuse me, I know the edge of space is spectacular, but jet engines need air!)A Matter Of Life And Death. Eat The Rich. Hail Hail Rock'n'Roll!

Books:

I'll try most fiction. It can always be returned, or used for kindling if it is that dire. -Ray Bradbury anyone? (;

Heroes:

Heroes? Well here are people I admire, in no particular order: Kieth Richards, Spike Milligan/Monty python, Lauren Levern, Lemmy, Amy Johnson, John Kennedy-Xfm, Gwenno, John Peel, Rebecca Stephens, -Charles Yeager USAF(BOOOM!)- Victoria Wood, Steve Irwin, Rose Tom and Alastair Dougall, Bill Oddie, Claire Sturgess, 'Professor' Stanley Unwin, Ellen MacArthur, And a bloke called Monster Bobby, for dreaming up The Pipettes..........Oh gosh! The list just goes on!
