Groovin' Hard & Heavy! Lookin' for a Working Gig!

About Me

Hi there,
I just put this site together so people could hear & see what I've done in previous bands, & even some current stuff as well.
My influences are many & varied so it'd be a long list, so, I won't. Let's just say I'm influenced my just about everything I listen to. I'm really into stuff that grooves, whether it's heavy, funky, or out there a bit.
The songs I have up are a taste of what I've done, that maybe show the bass a bit more or songs that I'm more proud of. I have more of that where those came from if anyone's interested.
I'm currently a "bassist-for-hire", fill-in gigs, recordings, working bands/covers, etc. Inquire for my schedule, pricing, etc. You get what you pay for - QUALITY & PROFESSIONALISM. You can read my blog posting about it.
Current/Past fill-ins:
BeDevil , Twisted Acoustics
I'm always keeping an open eye & ear for projects that might interest me. I'm really into the funky/R&B thing, as well as the heavier side of things - metal, rock, prog, etc.
Here's a bio, of sorts:
I was born in Denver, CO in 68. My musical education started in the fifth grade where I learned to play the saxophone. I also learned to play drums in Jr. high, dreaming of being a rock star on the drums. I graduated high school in 87 with honors and started to play bass shortly afterward (self-taught). I graduated from Casper College in 90 with an Associates of Music Degree in Performance (on sax) after playing in many different performing groups, including various jazz bands/combos & concert bands. I then moved to Utah in February of 91, mainly to play in a band that wanted me (Id lived in Wyoming the whole time up till then, YEE HAW). Ive played in many various bands since then.

Here's a little vid from my old band DRIVEN. It was taken at a Halloween Party with several other bands. We were the "metal" guys & all the rest were punk. Scared 'em right out of the place...funniest shit you'd ever seen. Bad sound quality due to it being off of a handheld camera's mic, but you get the idea. The song was called Crush (I've posted it here for a brief period, might do it again).

Sounds Like: I'm hoping it sounds like ME & no one else in particular. Having your own sound should be what people go for & I'm still striving for it. I think I definitely have my own style, but, you can be the judge I guess.
