Love Rally Septemeber 29th Pioneer Square...FREE!!!For 5 years now the Groove Enhancement Project has been quietly doing it's small part to change the world. We believe that all it takes is opening the mind of one person at a time in order to shape the future of the planet. We believe in peaceful resolution and diligent "good works" to create serious and sustainable change.On Saturday September 29th we will host our yearly awareness event called the Love Rally. This will take place in our cities "living room" Pioneer Courthouse Square. The direction of this event is to bring awareness to those seeking information about world issues whom have no real resource to work from. We have talented dj's whipping up great music all day long as well as truly enlightening guest speakers helping us expand our hearts and minds through knowledge. We have created a mini village of designated interactive zones to further the process of awareness.Participants of the past have included Mercy Corps, Oregon Environmental Council, NW Tibetan Cultural Association, Oregon Food Bank, and many more. This year our newest participants are the ACLU, Amnesty International, Invisible Children, Veterans for Peace and the One Campaign. Our speakers have educated the crowd on issues varying from the rapid spread of AIDS in Africa, child soldiers, environment depletion, voter registration, local hunger issues, Katrina relief, veterans for peace, as well as uplifting and educational personal stories.We believe in the idea of uplifting through knowledge.Groove Enhancement Project "creating change"
