About Me

Too many cliques in such a small town has led a few of us to start a new, all inclusive movement that is dedicated to spreading the JOY that is HOUSE MUSIC.
PORTLAND HOUSING AUTHORITY represents the best House DJs in Portland. If you want to join the PHA just write us; don't forget, once you enter my house, it then becomes our house music!
AFTER DARK is PHA's weekly all-night House party that runs every Saturday night from 11pm til 10am (at least) at the Ararat Restaurant (111 NE MLK in PDX). Come enjoy great music, delicious food, and soothing stiff drinks.
Each week host DJ Matt e Starr is joined by the best local, national, and international House DJs, who deliver the best House music -- all night long. Headliners play 3am to 6am (or later). Show up early and support your local DJs, or come over after the rest of the bars close, for the best regular night of house music in town -- and don't forget, our bar closes at 2:30am and re-opens at 7am!
April 1st, 2006 marked the beginning of a new chapter in the Portland House community. Thanks to everyone who makes it out, all the DJs who play on and on, and everyone at the Ararat, especially Nelli, our House Mom!
Please Note: As of May 3rd, 2008, After Dark resumes @ 2410 N Mississippi. 2:30a-7:30a Saturdays (technically Sundays).
Portland Housing Authority will be throwing shows at Pala, so please come out and show your support for quality house music.
