When Funk made love to Rock, Funky Mantis was born

About Me

In the beginning, atop great Mt Olympus, there took place a party of epic proportions. First upon the dance-floor was the goddess, known as 'Funk', her rhythmic grooves caught the eyes of the god known as 'Rock'. Needless to say much beer and wine was consumed throughout the night, which lead to “Rock” groovin’ his ass off and “Funk” head banging. As the hours grew late, Funk and Rock eventually left the party to make passionate, erupting love all night long... which resulted in a magnificent display of lightning with an accompanying bass-line of thunder…
which resulted in a magnificent display of lightning with an accompanying bass-line of thunder.
And so, 9 months later, the blessed sons of the musical gods came to be and would be henceforth forever known as, "FUNKY MANTIS". They would be the saviours of all who listened and provide salvation from the sins of shit music.
A 4 piece line up from Brisbane/Gold Coast, Australia, Funky Mantis is taking over and saving the souls of people everywhere. The hip sounds of funk grooves transcending into screaming rock energy is turning people into crazed Mantis fans.
