About Me

O.k.-- I know, this site looks like a train wreck of oddness... but if you don't do odd, you can turn back... with that said...Welcome to The Rogue Poet Tree! This is The Rogue Poet's Writing Site! So.. who and what am I? I'm someone who believes and practices Irving Wallace's idea that "To be one's self, and unafraid whether right or wrong, is more admirable than the easy cowardice of surrender to conformity."You decide who I am but if I was forced to describe myself and felt like answering like I have decided to do here... for the purposes of this site I guess one could say I'm a mix of Southern-fried poet, life-long eclectic, literary provacateur, and ranting comic showman trying to write his first novel. I've been published in The Black Spring Review (Rego Park, NY) and a few times in Carpe Laureate Diem (Forsyth, GA).And, in case you're wonderin' about the name--- and my real one...The definition of "rogue" I most relate to- One who is pleasantly mischievous or frolicsome; hence, often used as a term of endearment. The Rogue Poet is native Georgian Joel Culpepper. Thanks for your visit.
