Kicking off to a complete sell out first two shows (at time of going to press) in April, leading UK independent music company Scruffy Bird present a brand new live band club night at the newly refurbished Star of Bethnal Green (formerly The Pleasure Unit).
The night takes place every Wednesday, showcasing the best new bands around, in reflection of Scruffy Birdâ€™s diverse musical tastes.
May 7th kicks off with Mini-Metronomy - a special acoustic set from electronic favourites Metronomy. Metronomy are a band who push boundaries of leftfield dance, creating an exciting live combustion of spectacular melodic riffs and bee gee style vocals. The Brighton via London trio are supported by Scottish indie rockers Edgar Prais.
Scruffy has booked masses of other exciting new act for May, including; Iglu & Hartly, Telepathe, Grammatics, John & Jehn, Magic Wands and more as per below - not to mention a special triple bill show at the end of the month.
Doors open at 8pm, live bands will perform at 9pm and 10pm, and Scruffy DJs afterwards playing the best in indie, rockâ€™nâ€™roll, electro, pop, yacht rock, and anything good.
