Broccoli Music emerged in 2005, initially as a band management company, working to raise the profile of exciting new acts that were fresh to the circuit. As experience was gained, the business evolved into a live promotions team, putting on electrifying monthly band nights in the heart of the capitol.
"Catch 22 is a really cute venue but the spiral stairs are extremely dangerous if you'd had a few ; which is the story for most of the punters. By looking around the name indiesexual is such a clich name when you look at the people who are all buzzing off the excitement of "indiesexual" in their tight jeans and hat/tie combo....
...After the bands played indiesexual kept up the expectations with an hour or so of brilliant music from DJ's DirtyOmar and Alfie, they really got everyone dancing"

"Without ANY doubt The most amazing gig I’ve ever been to, never mind played in. I cannot believe the calibre of bands we played with"
Rich of The Indigos (Broccoli's Christmas party)
"Broccoli Music's Indiesexual's the potential home to peri-peri hot unsigned acts. It's understated and DJs provide a musical backdrop of everything from cutting edge electro to retro pop, as numerous bands infiltrate this monthly unsigned showcase…
A crowd so hip, it's the doctors' donation source for or hip replacements* and ciders and vodka mixers so nice and cheap for one can get drunk to…
songs that I thought would only be played either from my mother's 60s record collection or my sister's rave phase. It was pleasant. It was cool. But most of all, it was damned chilled"

Finding an abundance of great bands from the North East and having many London bands wanting to gig up North we set up an Indiesexual sister club in Newcastle where we are now joining up with Newcastle promoters Mickey9's to bring you Mickey9's vs Broccoli Music putting the cream of the North against the quality of the South.
Previously on the Indiesexual alldayer bill we've had
the likes of The Illegal Waste , kid: coda ,Seventy Three ,The Joan Rivers El Bistro, The Catch Pennies to name but a few.
"Broccoli Music have brought ten of the Best of British Artists into one room and presented them with force. Saturday the 3rd of June saw Newcastle Quayside being rocked and rolled with artists from London and the North East being brought together.
Not one bad word can be said about Indiesexual. I can only congratulate Katie and Mikee for bringing the event to Newcastle and look forward to reviewing the event in the future. May Indiesexual live a long and prosperous life"
