Essence of Chi was born in South London in February 2004, and since its beginning has become one of the fastest growing Drum & Bass promotions of the last few years.They throw parties that combine all angles of drum n bass from deep to dancefloor with an electric atmosphere, whilst paying special attention to sound, light, space, and of course the all-important quality DJ and MC line up fused together to achieve the perfect balance.From humble beginnings in Brixton's Plan B, EOC went on to bigger & better ventures as time went by...from packing out their Birthday parties at the Scala & Hidden, to attracting queues round the block for their events at the infamous Herbal in Shoreditch.They have held tour parties around the UK in places such as Leeds, Oxford, Brighton, Guildford and Portsmouth, and hosted Arenas at some of London's most prestigious drum n bass events, including Renegade Hardware v Valve during Carnival 2006, the Baby Box and Bar at the Ministry of Sound for their in house d&b nights Fuse and Switch, and of course the legendary Moondance where they have proudly hosted the EOC Arena 5 times in a row.As EOC celebrate their Fourth year in the business, 2008 looks set to be yet another stormer for the London party people including a nomination at the Official Drum n Bass Awards for Best Club Night and a weekend hosting the Dreams Arena at Innovation in the Sun alongside fellow promoter "Rotation".For more information about Essence of Chi see http://www.essenceofchi.co.uk
