Influences: I am personally influenced by Raga, Tantra Yoga, Musical Astronomy/ Astrology, Musical Mathematics, Cymatics, Esoteric Art and Science.Artistically I am inspired by life and death, darkness and light, lovers and brokenhearts, Good and the Evil, the awesome beauty of the earth and the universe, order and chaos, mad science, Architecture and Literature. Most importantly I admire the unsung hereos of Amnesty international, One Campaign, Fairtrade and so many other community based charities - these are the real heros!I am a big fan of Daniel Lanois, esp the albums Apollo (Atmospheres and Soundtracks) with Brian and Roger Eno, and the Pearl with Harold Budd and Eno. I am greatly influenced by producers such as Glen Ballard, Alan Parsons, George Martin, Geoff Emerick, George Massenburg, to name but a few. As for musical composers and cultural writters, I love the work of Steve Reich and the minimalists. I really enjoy the written work of David Toop, Mark Prendergast, and Alan Lomax - although he is difficult to read. I think in atmospheric film tracks Phillip Glass, Ennio Morricone, Jerry Goldsmith and Michal Nyman are all amazing. I heart minimalism, and La Monte Young/ Dreamhouse are just to cool for school. Sun Ra who was just so far ahead of his time it is incredible. And I really like eastern influenced western music hybrids - everything from Ry Cooder with Mohan Bhatt, to Dave Mattews Band, to Led Zeppelin. Also; Bach, John Cage, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Claude Debussy, Steve Reich, Brian Eno, La Monte Young/ Pandit Pran Nath & Dreamhouse, Philip Glass, Michael Nyman, Leon Theremin, Edgard Varése, Percy Grainger, Iannis Xenakis, Ennio Morricone, Mike Oldfield, Jean Micheal Jarré, Can, Ash Ra Temple, Kraftwerk, The Cocteau Twins, The Orb, Aphex Twin, The Future Sound of London, Moby, Massive Attack, The Chemical Brothers, Gorrilaz. And Furthermore; Joni Mitchell, Robert Randolf, Nick Cave n' the Bad Seeds, The Birthday Party, Grinderman, Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, Blind Willie Johnson, Robert Johnson, Leadbelly, Bukka White, Sol Hoopii, Blind Boy Fuller, Tampa Red, Led Zeppelin, Bob Dylan, Jeff Lang, Neil Young, The Velvet Underground and Nico, John Cale, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Hendrix, The Beatles, The Doors, U2, Coldplay, Van Morrison, Radiohead, Tim and Jeff Buckley, Tangerine Dream, Alan Parsons Project, Paul Simon and Art Garfunkel, Clannad, Iona, Ravi Shankar, Mohan Bhatt, Ben Harper, Harry Manx, Robert Fripp.
