About Me

My musical background stems from the church and was nurtured at a very early age and still is today as my role of Church Organist at the Assemblies of the First Born Church (AFB), Battersea. My mother: Evangelist HH Brown who was the organist and choir director at the aforementioned church, nurtured my musical talents by teaching me music theory, piano and Hammond C3 organ long before I discovered the trombone. I was blessed by many inspirational trombone teachers and ‘trombone daddies’ in my early trombone life (before university), namely Tony Hogg, Colin Sheen, Cliff Hardie and Phil Brown – all of whom I owe a great deal of thanks as well as the legends in my Myspace top friends who have helped me out from back in the day: Dennis and Winston Rollins and Ashley Slater. I would also like to thank Fayyaz Virji, Pat Hartley and Richard Henry for their early words of wisdom back with the Jazz Warriors, as well as all the musical legends (listed below) that I have worked with and are close friends.Since my first professional gig at 16 with the international renowned Jazz Warriors, I have been blessed to work many musicians around the World.
