Here's just a little bit about myself... Born in Doncaster.Started out listening to my brother's playing trombone every day, & with that came the artistes Chuck Mangonie,Maze Bill Watrous & other greats.I played slide trombone for a short while then only to move on to the valve trombone,cornet,trumpet & baritone..Soon afterwards i was listening to Blue note albums Miles/Monk & so on, i loved the beats & grooves these drummers we're pumping out,people like Ed Thigpen/Elvin Jones,James Bradley junior etc. I ended up playing drums at the age of 15 in the stage school band & it progressed into playing in a few local function bands.Had a great time playing in an Asian group called BLACK STAR LINER which was superb as it was Indian/Funk/Rock/Reggae almost everthing,& the people behind the music we're truly awesome.After that i joined a band called J-Life,this was amazing as one of the founders Jason Yard was a true musician who knew how to get the best out of his musicians in a way i hadn't seen before.One thing led to another & soon ended up doing gigs/ tours/tv/radio with artistes Erroll Brown/ Human League,Belinda Carlise,Dina Carroll/Ruby Turner.I look back at those days & give thanks to them all. My latest venture is writing my own album.And drumming with my bro Winston on his & Louise' first "GIVE ME A REASON" album & their latest album,which is an inspiration!! Believe!!Soon enough though i will put some of my music on this space.
