Louise and Winston joined forces late in 2004 to create 'Real', working as songwriters, developing a partnership which has flourished and led to the creation of their first full album "Give Me A Reason". They have created a style which is a unique fusion of soul, funk, rock, acid jazz, yielding music which is both accessible and commercial but has strong, credible jazz roots.
LOUISE POLLOCK is a newcomer to the scene, coming from Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, and making a strong impact with several UK Producers, having success in dance music first as Myla (2 number 1's). Despite this she quickly realised that her real desire was to work with someone of like mind to create the kind of music which she wanted to sing. Her songwriting abilities can also be heard on her solo album "Louise Pollock" out on iTunes , together with her great voice and vivacious personality.
WINSTON ROLLINS needs little introduction. His background is steeped in music having been in bands such as Brand New Heavies, Incognito, Aswad, Jamiroquai, Courtney Pine and currently Jools Holland. He has his own studio, RedRoom Studios in Chiswick, West London and has produced the album himself. His talents extend thus as a musician (trombonist firstly but also keyboards, bass), songwriter, producer, arranger not to mention a unique personality and presence on stage.
As a performing entity 'Real' generate an exciting, fresh vibe. It is no accident that 'Real' has some of the best musicians around with vocalist Louise fronting it and Winston as band leader and M.D. Their debut album "Give Me A Reason" is out now in the UK on Smooch Records via Passion Music & Pinnacle, also on iTunes and Amazon already selling out in it's soft release, to be re-released fully in April 2006. The album has been released in Japan in December 2005 by Columbia Records already reaching ..6 in the Jazz Chart. real's remix of the title track made the top10 Dance Chart in Japan in December 2005, their single went to ..20 in the Zip100.
Real are a refreshing mixture of tight funk and loose morals. Singer Louise Pollock, who co-writes the songs, leads it all with amazing confidence and some very exciting moves. Great stuff. Maurice Gallagher GMTV

MYLA
MyLA comes from Merseyside originally, and is now based in West London. She started singing at an early age doing radio road shows, winning an MFM talent competition in 1994 when she was 14.
Talent shows, karaoke followed when in 1998 as an 18 year old she attracted the attention of Geoff Burke (then with Juniper Music, later Smooch Management & Records), with her sensational voice, personality and looks.
Geoff signed her for management soon after, believing that the undoubted raw talent she possessed could be shaped and guided into something unique and very special.
Myla developed a wide repertoire of songs from rock, pop, blues & jazz standards to dance and ballads. Her versatility as a performer, combined with her vivacious personality made her a great hit wherever she performed.
In 1999 Myla joined forces with another girl, Susie Hopwood, to form SPANDEX, a dance act whose debut song Girls Like Us was on the soundtrack of the UK film The Van Boys. Several Record Companies expressed interest in them but Myla was determined to forge a solo career first and foremost, so the duo split.
In 2000 Myla recorded a dance track Hypnotised, then recorded it at Producer Andy Whitmore's studio in Ealing, West London. The song evoked such positive reaction that further mixes and 3 more dance songs were recorded including Reveal Yourself, and a brilliant cover of Cutting Crew's classic song Died in Your Arms, both of which went to No.1 in the Dance Charts. Hypnotised was also released on vinyl and was a sellout in the UK.
The result of all this sudden success was that firstly Concorde Agency in London (Soloman Parker) put MYLA, on tours, gigs with artists such as Blue, LibertyX, Sonique, Atomic Kitten, Fragma, the Real Thing. A trip to New York late 2001 brought offers of releases for Hypnotised from U.S. label Strictly Rhythm amongst others.
Next for Myla came support on Louise Redknapp's 2001-2 UK tour where in terms of performance she stole the show, making a great impact not least with Louise Redknapp and her band. Her e.p. Hypnotised and then album Remixed was put on iTunes and in 2005-6.
Myla has to be seen to be believed.
