Many thanks to Chris and Eddie Amoo - The Real Thing, for the support. Children of The Ghetto, Can You Feel The Force, Raining Thru My Sunshine and so many more of their brilliant songs that take me back to my early clubbing/ partying days in good old London town. Let's hear some more from you, boys! All the people I've worked with..lets start at the beginning.. One Stop Music, Balham, run by Winston Walters, Seymour McLean and the late and very missed Eric Gordon ( British reggae hits included 'Wondering' , 'Make Up Your Mind'.)....this label gave me my start in the music business...I was lucky to gain such experience around those musicians and singers eg Natural Touch, Philip Linton and many more.. Then I joined Direct Drive-Rob Williams, Mick Ward, Pete Quinton and Bones (Mick Hammond) ... you're such a talented group of people and there was always plenty of wit amidst the creativity!.... Not forgetting 7th Heaven!!..Really happy to see you guys doing great things. Respects also due to poet/musician Lee Fardon with whom I worked in the late 80's, because I loved his songs so much..Black Steel who I have sung with many times.. a lovely and talented guy.I usually love to hear lyrics that inspire, challenge and comfort the mind and emotions and if mixed with a vibe/feel that rocks the body so much the better...influences... oh it's so hard! there's so many! here goes ....in no particular order... Lovers Rock, Kate Bush, Brenda Russell, Dennis Brown, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Elton John, Chaka Khan,The Pretenders, David Bowie, Bob Marley, Benjamin Zephaniah, Carroll Thompson, Rolling Stones, Madonna, UB40,Earth Wind and Fire, Cat Stephens/Yusuf Islam, James Taylor, Sheryl Crow, Aaliyah, Donnell Jones, India.Arie, Prince, Juliet Roberts, Incognito, Bjork, my lovely Luther Vandross, Alexander O'Neal, Maxi Priest, The Roots, Radiohead, Coldplay....... I'm sure I'll be back to add more now I've started! .. ..
