Creative Force first came into being in the mid 1990s. The music played by this band is a fusion of reggae, jazz funk plus Latin American influenced grooves. Creative Force debuted at the Queen Elizabeth Hall in London opposite the renowned Blue Note label avant-garde pianist Andrew Hill. Since then the band have undertaken well received concerts around the UK.
Creative Force explores the musical history of reggae from Ska through Rock Steady, Dub, plus contemporary forms including Dancehall / Ragga. Other influences include Latin, Drum & Bass, as well as New Orleans Funk all coupled with Jazz.
This is a heady cocktail of new sounds.
