------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- **** YOUR VISIT'S & SUPPORT to this page/profile are 'APPRECIATED.' **** - Thanks - IAN. ** [Starting something new. - any 'musicians' interested, please make contact "improvising experience essential."] . . ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- [2000-2007]: RECORDING & ENGINEERING studies, producing 'NEW' acoustic/electronic material, using 'DIGITAL' recording equipment in conjunction with effect's processors, mainly acoustic woodwind/wind instruments and percussion recorded. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- [2000-2007]: Helped with recruitment/membership to the 'ABJM,' which has an 'executive committee' actively involved in the promotion of 'jazz' music, also funding for different projects. - Please visit either websites: www.jazzservices.org.uk & www.abjm.org.uk. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- [1991-2000]:Prior to helping the 'ABJM' served as a general committee member on a branch of the 'Musicians Union,' assisting the branch secretary in an 'administrative' capacity, helping organise different events promoted by the Union, (now carried out regionally). ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- Played both as a soloist and as part of a duo 'JAVA' during the 1990's in different venues in the UK. - Prior to this played with the 'Velvet Touch' playing 'soul and popular' music, who also where a support band to such names as the Bee Gee's, The Who, Wishbone Ash, The Tremeloes, The Move, The Hollies, Manfred Mann, The Yardbirds, to name but a few. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- [1995-2007]: STUDIES in IT/ICT on "Apple Macintosh" systems & system software, (including 'OPENSOURCE),' maintaining & updating O/S's & software applications, security etc. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------- In other area's I've helped with different charities, including: 'Unicef' (UK National Committee), organising a music concert to raise funds. Another charity I've had ties with helping to market/promote work carried out by 'The RAINFOREST FOUNDATION' (UK), to raise awareness of 'global warming/climate change' in part due to the deforestation of the world's rainforest's, also loss of the eco system-biodiversity of the planet, and loss of habitat by 'indigenous peoples' who live in these regions.
