Ambient soundscapes: an idea from Michael Palin's BBC television travel documentaries, from the meridian line to africa, egypt, japan, china. Ian R Whiteway, (soprano/alto saxophones, recorders, percussion & electronics). Neal Reynolds, (keyboards - tracks 2,4). - With thanks to 'Eddie Prevost' at Matchless. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- Album: Herbert Herbert's Scientific Laboratory. 2006 © Ambient experiments: based on scientific soundscapes on the set of: 'Dr Bunsen Honeydew' & his trusty assistant 'Beaker' of 'Muppet' Fame, (or 'Dr Henry Frankenstein's') laboratory. Ian R Whiteway, (soprano/alto saxophones, recorders, percussion & electronics). * Neal Reynolds, (keyboards - tracks 11,13). ** Hugh Coleridge, (acoustic and electric guitars, tracks 8,12 plus various objects on track 6). *** Sadly "Hugh Coleridge" passed way after a relatively short illness, (cancer), on May 09/2008. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- * With thanks to 'Paul & Lynda Dunmall' for the album's artwork provided on HHSL. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- ** Recording's Produced & Engineered: Ian R Whiteway. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- *** Album Artwork: graphic's/text layout: Ian R Whiteway. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- **** MySpace: profile page design & layout: Ian R Whiteway. ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------- NB: NEW RECORDINGS: I've included two edited 'samples' of NEW work recorded, (part of a new project, starting to record again), which unfortunately had been 'PUT ON HOLD.' - The costs of producing CD's on a small scale is becoming expensive, although rewarding, more "SUPPORT" required from those in and outside the profession. Ideally require 'musicians' who would like to work 'LIVE' as well as recording material, or I'm available should any band require a saxophone-wind player, please make contact . . ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ ------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------------
