If it's going to happen you have to make it happen

About Me

I'm a working musician based in Bath, England who has been very active in helping to esablish the already active scene a bit more.
I play with the Folk band Inu which is a supercharged tapestry of tunes and songs from Ireland, the British isles, France and Eastern Europe with a heavy lean towards the Celtic styles (Irish music in particilar). Also in the Band is My wife Louise (vocals and guitar), Beth Porter (Cello), Mike Rule (Mandola and Banjo) and Breda Horgan (Bodhrán).
I've played flute in many other kinds of bands over the years including Jazz, funk, Psychadellic Rock, Experimental and Reggae bands and have many projects in the pipeline to expand on thes again playing the flute through a rack of effects.
The last few years have seen me spending a lot of time establishing sessions in our area and being involved with the Bath fringe Festival and the Pussyfoot crew to lift the profile of the live music scene here as a sound engineer (I run a P.A. lights and decor company) as well as bring music to the community playing for audiences that can't always get to gigs (disabled and elderly) and am currently helping to get the first Bath folk festival up and running.
Other events to look out for are Wildcat productions where myself and a few others are aiming to create more work for musicians around our area. We're running nights out with different themes, once again to bring the music and the people together. I am just as happy at classical concert supping tea as i am in a mosh pit.

I'll have a go at trying to short list a few favourite bands/musicians:the Egg, Hawkwind, Flook!, Subhumans, Culture shock, the Specials, Danu, Mary Bergin, Gong, Donal Lunny, Gan Anam, Pendulum, Amun Duul, Funkadelic, Daily planet, Public Enemy,Beastie Boys, Zounds . The list goes on
