. Some people don’t know this, so I’ll mention it here..
Citizen Fish features two members of
[SUB] [HUM] [ANS]
from the UK (Dick and Phil), that’s why you’ll see Subhumans getting mentioned alot on this page.......quick history lesson - Subhumans started in early 1980s, split up in 1986, Dick started another band called Culture Shock (lineup:Dick, Nige, Bill, Paul and later Jasper, of CitFish), they split in 1989 and Citizen Fish was formed (lineup for 1st year Dick, Larry, Jasper, Trotsky). Phil joined in 1990 on guitar..........hmmmm, then Subhumans got back together in 1998 and have been touring again since then. New Subhumans full length LP out in Sept 2007!!!

The Current Citizen Fish line-up is:
Dick vocals
Phil guitar
Jasper bass, vocals
Silas, drums (Trotsky 1989 to 2006)

joined by our brass friends for live and recording, in no particular order: Alex trumpet, Jim trumpet, Matt trombone..... Jessica Mills Sax USA.....Miguel Reyes Trombone USA..... Alice Treasure Sax Warminster UK..... Sloth Trumpet (Australia)..... Mick Trumpet Australia,.....James Trumpet Oakland USA,

Influences:

"Feeding", Showcase, Corona with LOC 2006

Will Swap, St Patricks day, Buffalo NY 2007 with LOC

Sounds Like: "A blend of punk, ska, and straight up rock’n’roll that appeals to the sing-a-long music fans and even the "muso" musician types that typically dismiss punks as not being able to play their instruments.........The idealistic unifying tone of Dick’s lyrics, coupled with the catchy driving riffs of the band, allow the Fish to appeal to a wide variety of folks. Heck, they are the only punk band my whole immediate family has seen play live, twice! My mother still partially blames the band for my father’s unemployment. After hearing Dick’s ranting prelude to "Phone in Sick" at a Philly gig, my father burst out applauding and shouting "Yeah, now that’s a good one! Yeah, Yeah, Yeah!" and took another 6 months off." - by Craig O’Hara, author of The Philosophy of Punk: More Than Noise.****************************************************** **************
