Inspired by her birth-father, singer/songwriter Roger Koob, who sang with The Premiers and The Frontiers and is the author of the ever popular tune “You're Daddy’s Little Girlâ€, Terri Lee’s style is a unique blend of folk, country, and pop-rock.
Her formal training began with organ lessons starting at age eight. By age ten she had written her first song and was the church organist at Blessed Sacrament of Saugus, MA.
During the 1990’s, Terri Lee joined the Connecticut Songwriter’s Association (CSA); the Boston Songwriter’s Workshop (BSW), and the Gospel Music Association (GMA). Currently, Terri Lee is a member of BMI and the Nashville Songwriter’s Association International (NSAI).
Terri Lee has performed in the classic-rock cover bands "Hard Drive" and "The Bah Flies". In addition, Lee has been a member of North Shore Community College’s music club, as well as Salem State College's Music Society. Recently, Terri Lee performed in Salem State College's Jazz Band. as well as Salem State College Women's Chorale.
Recently, Terri Lee won awards for seven of her songs in the Song of the Year Contest (supporter of VHI) Terri Lee is also busy finishing up a CD of her original music titled "Alive" which is due to be released in 2007.
