About Me

My name is Serita and I am a lyricist looking for the people that can put the music to my words. I have always loved music and began my musical training in grade school. Due to circumstances I never followed my one true dream... music. I have finally realised that the only one stopping me from achieving my dreams is me. So now I am dedicating myself to attaining that which I always thought was unattainable. I am a serious lyricist and I have several songs waiting for the right musician. I am busy writing with several talented lyricists and musicians... Dan Saunders, Mike Lewis, Sonja McLeary, and Sam Overstreet to name a few. It is a pleasure and honor to bring you all music for your enjoyment and appreciate everyone that is out there listening. Other than music my life revolves around my family. My husband Patrick who was willing to leave everything he knew to follow my dream, my children, Christian, Hailey, and Noah, that inspire me to be more, and to do more each and every day. My parents that always believed that I would succeed at whatever I chose to do and taught me that a life based in faith will always be one that is blessed. My brother that has always been a huge part of my life. Influences: My biggest influences are Martina McBride, Faith Hill, Trisha Yearwood, Reba, and the Judds. I grew up with Country and its what I really love more than any other music, but I also mix it up a little with Matchbox 20, Journey, the Stones, Foo Fighters, and just a whole lot of everything. Basicly if its music with written words I'll listen to it. Just no classical please! Also... check out my friend Laura Queen. That girl can sing! She should have a record deal for sure!!
