About Me

Singer - Songwriter - Troubadour Jacques Mees was born march 1959 in Moergestel, The Netherlands. He started his musical career at the age of eleven when he bought his first guitar. Long before that he explored the world of folk, blues and country. His first and biggest inspiration was formed by Bob Dylan. Later he discovered the music of great performers such as Woody Guthrie, Hank Williams and Dave van Ronk. He started interpreting their songs but soon he picked up the art of writing his own material. Throughout the years he recorded several independent cd's. He toured all over Europe, worked for a time in Rio de Janeiro and did gigs in New York. He opened for artists like Kevin Ayers and the late Rick Danko. Jacques Mees; An entertainer who sings every song straight from the heart. With his unique acoustic guitarstyle and his haunting dark voice, he'll give you a night to remember. A songwriter, who'll give you a thrill. For contact and information, please visit his website. http://www.jacquesmeesmusic.com
