Birth
The concept of founding a band was first opted back in november 2005
with the original idea of forming a grindcore band but all changed after
seeing a show of Heidevolk/Grimm early 2006. Gripped by the folk/pagan
metal of these bands things started to take shape with the lay-out of
the basics for 'Heidentrots'.
Due to the involvement in other bands and side projects (e.g.
Vargavinter, Tranendal, Forever Autumn) it took until october 2006
for the recording of the first songs showing the different influences within
the folk metal genre; Traditional (Storm), True Norsk metal influenced (Isengard and lesser extent Grimm) and the former mentioned Heidevolk.

Plans are currently made for the release of a demo
