About Me

Michael Boesen has been around on the Danish music scene for ages. He played political rock in the seventies (Røde Mor), provoking cabaret shows in the eighties (5 x Kaj) and musical comedy in the nineties (2 x Kaj) with 2 number one hits on the single chart. For the last 10 years he’s been going in for his roots: singer/songwriting.Ever since his debut in the folk club Purple Door 1969 in Copenhagen, Michael’s heart has been beating for the good song with meaningful lyrics and a catchy melody. His love for music, experience of life and personal growth serves as inspiration for his song writing.Michael Boesen released his first solo album "Angel On My Shoulder" in 2003. The CD was very well received with two songs in hot rotation on Danish national radio (P4) and Michael being the guest in numerous radio shows. He is now working on his second solo album to be released in 2007.In concert Michael will always do his best for a good show with humorous introductions. His ambition for profound and catchy songs performed well, will always give the audience an uplifting and warm experience, whether it’s a big crowd or a small and cosy house concert.Besides the song writing Michael has also been writing a lot of music for theatre, shows and feature films.Along with his musical career Michael also works as a “microphone actor”. He has been doing dubbing or voice over for more than 300 cartoon or live action movies for cinema and TV.
