Here's some info 'bout me - I make my living by working as a professional singer-songwriter. I live and always has been, in Copenhagen, where I teach vocalists and composers as well as making workshops in the handcraft of composing. I arrange 4 songwriter-showcases where I always anticipate myself. I recorded and released the debut album, “When I’m Gone” with Karsten Laybourn in the fall of 2004. It received very good reviews by the Copenhagen audience. In 2005 I released a live-album and is right now recording a new cd with the Aggerbæk Quintet! The sound will be raw, jazzy, live-recorded with only a few dubs and will be released dec. 1st. 2007. The Release party will be at Blågårds Apotek at 7pm.________________________________________________________ ___________________Here's some info about the 3 weekly singer-songwriter showcases and now also "The Bigger Playground" at Drop Inn twice a month where I play myself & give space for "up and coming" songwriters to come to stage.... ____________________________________________________________ _______________ Every Wednesday at 20.00, I arrange and play on Songwriters Playground. I always arrange one or two acts beside my own, and after that, an open stage for musicians with original material. Tjili Pop is an ideal venue to build up a perfect mood with an extremely cool audience and try out some new stuff. Come down and see for yourself, and I’ll promise you will experience a lot of the greatest up and coming singer-songwriters in this Copenhagen. The idea behind it is that I arrange 3 chairs including myself with each 3 songs. The 4th chair is open to anyone who has original material they want to present. Café Retro is build upon a unique ideal. It’s a non-profit café where all profit goes to a hospital in India. All staff works for free, and they’ve even got a waiting list for people, mostly students, who’d like to work there. So everything about this place is wonderful, and I’m proud to have this weekly showcase, which helps the growth of original singer-songwriting, and in return, we even support a very good and noble case. And the atmosphere is also outstanding for music! ____________________________________________________________ _______________ The New Bigger Playground at Drop Inn is the 4th songwriter stage I arrange. The showcase will take place every second and third Monday in every month starting from June ’07 and continue until December. The concept is the same as Songwriters Playground at Tjili Pop, but the stage is bigger, there’s more time for the open stage and at last there is bigger space for people to sit and listen to all the up and coming singer-songwriters in Copenhagen/Denmark. The showcase starts at 20.00 and there will be live-songwriter music until around 02.00 in morning… this will be a great support to the songwriter stage in Copenhagen! Check out www.dropinn-kbh.dk
