The SlashDogs are from a town and country you'd least expect to find roaring rock-n-roll.
Based in Pretoria, South Africa, The SlashDogs play a style that can only be described as CHUCK BERRY ON TRUCKER SPEED. "The SlashDogs do things differently from other South African bands... they don`t give a F**K about conforming to the current `standard` rock feel that their competition is putting out. They went back to the roots of real `Rock And Roll`, learnt from it and began to play real rock and roll." (rockpulse.co.uk)
Having started in 2003, released a 7" vinyl and a full length CD, The SlashDogs are heading back into the studio to record their next full legnth album. The as-of-yet-to-be-titled album which is due to be released in August 2007 promises to be full of new and fresh rock-n-roll tracks that only The SlashDogs can deliver. And with old friend (and The SlashDog's first drummer) Paul 666 back in the band on guitar one can only imagine what 2007 and the new album holds.
With the two releases, songs featured on several compilations, hundreds of shows around the country and several performances at some of SA's biggest festivals, The SlashDogs are not about to slow down.
"The SlashDogs rock, plain and simple, it’s not punk, or metal, or grunge, the music these guys make is rock-n-roll in its purist form…and that’s a beautiful thing to hear." (Verge Magazine)
