The Bad Apples are a female fronted, Grimsby based band that perform a hybrid of wild rockabilly, surf, country and punk. They formed in the summer of 2006 and went on to perform at that years musically diverse ‘Eco–Festival’ and ‘Small World Festival’. They perform live regularly and have recently headlined at the 2007 Eco-Festival, where they played an amazing set, which has gained them even more critical acclaim. They have had several line-up changes since they started but the core of the band has remained Keeley Deville and Rockin' Rob.Keeley has been involved in stage performance for many years and has starred in many productions that have dealt with controversial topics such as homosexuality, violence, drugs and politics - all subjects that are dealt with in the lyrical content of The Bad Apples songs.Rockin' Rob has been the lead guitarist with various bands of different styles over many years but is best known for his frantic guitar work with the wild rockabilly outfit, ‘The Prowlers’, whom also featured ‘Coppin’ on drums. The Prowlers gigged regularly, nationally and internationally for many years, and recorded several albums on a German label, ‘Cherokee Records’. He has also been performing every week, up and down the country with a traditional country/bluegrass outfit, ‘The Smokey Mountain Boys’, but has recently left due to 'musical differences', because, he says," The country music scene in the U.K. is full of old, boring, racist cunts who haven't got a brain cell between them!". Garin was also a member of ‘The Smokey Mountain Boys’, as was Keeley who often featured on vocals and washboard. They left the band for similar reasons! The Bad Apples are currently recording an album and are aiming to expand their growing reputation as an exciting, controversial and entertaining live band. Check out their live shows and you will not be disappointed!Live footage from the Small World Festival 2006. Featuring Shane Johnson on Banjo, Les Overend on Drums and Simon Naylor on Bass.
