Well, well, well, it started a long time ago as a young nipper, armed with a safety pin and Ice Dragon cider dodging chavs on good ol Hessle Road in the shitty city of Kingston Upon Hull (love it really). From such fame as Purgatory to Scab, Toking Poss to The Monads finally learning the guitar properly (i think) as well as trying to be a lead vocalist. And finally forming the mighty ’FREAKS UNION’ with our kid and friends in march 1996.Spent all my bloody adult life in the FREAKS UNION as well as a spell playing guitar and apearing on the first album of the amazing punk rock circus ’THE DEAD PETS’ and dont regret one bloody bit of it. For all the good times and the bad, the line up changes, tears of joy and of sheer frustration. Seen a lot of cool sights in travel and met a heck of a lot of amazing people.Anybody part of knowing or looking after the Freaks, thank loads and i already miss it! With my tour brothers Stew, Lee, Jamie, Greg and not forgetting Wolf i have been very lucky to have shared great memories with people i love. Anyway to summarise our career we released two singles, three albums a 10 year dvd and loads of merch as well as a few loonies out of the asylums. We got to play major radio shows, festivals, tour with bands we idolise and even get a wage sometimes. Check out ’Myspace/thefreaksunion’ for all info and links. We split as best mates in Feb 07 to persue or own stuff (and breath) but dont worry we will reform under the new name of The Freaks Re-union at some point all going well.So why Jim Sorrow? Why the fuck not! As well as a well renound sex symbol i’m also cool as fuck! Who else would play the banjo like a guitar doin three chord punk anthems and get away with it? Exactly, and i can still tour even if i am lonely,(cry) just like the littlest hobo (maybe tomorrow i might settle down).
