The Black Rose

The Black Rose is an institution , its been around for over 15 years. It started with a tiny shop in kensington market then slowly Steve the owner at the time, started to expand it and it became the coolest place in Kensington Market everybody wanted to work or shop there. I have been lucky to get a part time job and Lol was my manager but, 10 years ago when the market closed we had to find a place to go and the stables market was the answer. As we had more space we decided to get new clothes in addition to our gothic range, we started to get companies like toxico,route 666 and lucky 13 and got the shop next door as we needed more space , we called it Dragstrip. So, Cyber Dog and us became the most famous alternative shops in London. It worked very well until every shop around us seeing our success decided to imitate us. Then when our contract with the market finished they doubled our rent so we had to close half of it and then, Steve got really fed up when we lost the back room because of the building plans of the market so he decided to give up. After working in the shop for 10 years I decided to take over. It's really scary but, its worth it , unfortunatly I was not born rich so I have to make it smaller again but, I am working on revamping it and make it a big name again.
