Acoustic guitar player on the folk scene for many years. I play a Fylde Oberon guitar from 1978 which still sounds superb and has just been refretted by the guys at Fylde. The inherent qualty of the guitar is further enhanced by the (English made) Newtone strings

High Emotion is a Bert Jansch composition with a simple but wonderfully effective guitar part. For me the lyric is Jansch at his poetic best.
One Long Happy Night is a cracking song from John James based on a short story by Dylan Thomas.
Santa Cruz is a David Qualey composition which was shown to me many years ago by John James.
When I started playing, all the hot guitar players played ragtime. Grace & Beauty is a transcription (by Leo Wijnkamp, Jr) of a piano tune composed around 1909 by James Scott, a contemporary of Scott Joplin.
