Team Captain began in the late summer of 2006 with singer/songwriter Graham Tilsley. Graham got together with a couple of friends and fellow students from the Grant MacEwan music program and decided to record a three song demo with local Producer/Engineer Tom Kerr (Guitarist for the disbanded Wolfnote). The band, consisting of Graham on guitar, Ajay Paterson on the bass, and Duran Ritz on the drums, felt that after the recording they needed a second guitarist to add more interest to the band's limitations as a live rock trio. They approached Calvin McElroy, another MacEwan music student, to fill such a role. In the fall of 2006, the four members began rehearsing and playing shows. In the new year of 2007, the band decided it was time to record a 4-song EP, which is very soon to be released. In September of 2007, Duran was forced to choose between the band and a year-long contract playing on cruise ships. The band reluctantly said their goodbye's, but instead of sulking after the loss of a good friend, and drummer, they sought out a replacement. Kyle Krysa, who has much more than filled the position of a drummer, is now taking the band to new levels.
