Just another mom who wants to change the world

About Me

I like Special K Red Berry cereal with banana slices, I can't resist touching things made of soft material when I walk through a store, and I never quite got past believing that homemade things are the most valuable things. (Please send brownies.)
I am also an author. I've written 16 books and am working on the 17th. They're mostly nonfiction for adults, with a couple of children's picture books in the mix. You can find them all at www.jennaglatzer.com .
The most recent ones are:
Bullyproof Your Child for Life (with Joel Haber, Ph.D.)
This is a book for parents and guardians of school-age kids. It teaches them a proven system to end bullying for good.
The Street-Smart Writer: Self-Defense Against Sharks and Scams in the Writing World (with Daniel Steven)
Consider this book my public service. I didn't write it for big bucks; I wrote it because I got scammed a couple of times early in my writing career by unscrupulous "agents" and the proprietors of a writing contest, and I decided I didn't want others to suffer the same fate. Do yourself a big favor and read this book before swimming in the publishing waters.
Unbroken: A Memoir by Tracy Elliott
This is a Christian memoir of a woman who grew up as an orphan in the Projects and suffered terrible abuse of all sorts, became an addict and a stripper, but fought her way through it all and is currently a devoted mother, wife, and a beauty queen.
Celine Dion: For Keeps
An authorized biography of one of the nicest celebrities you could ever find.
Make a Real Living as a Freelance Writer: How to Win Top Writing Assignments
If you want a full-time career writing for magazines, newspapers, and e-zines, I wrote this book for you.
Also, I wear comfortable shoes. Sandals, really. For as many months out of the year as possible.
And I'm a holiday geek. I dress up every Halloween and most Valentine's Days and occasionally on Arbor Day. (OK, that's a lie, but I do try to remember to wish people a happy Arbor Day.)

My Interests

Bringing back hula hooping as a competitive sport, learning to use my digital camera so everyone doesn't look fuzzy and red-eyed, crafty stuff, finding new and creative ways to make the Best Baby on the Planet laugh all day long (or at least until she insists on taking a nap).

Know what can drive a person insane?

When you're driving along on a fast-moving road, and you're wearing sandals, and a mosquito starts biting your feet. And you can't pull over or jerk your foot away, because it's on the gas pedal....

The Kiddo Has Arrived!

And I have about 30 seconds before I have to go back in and pick her up, so I'd better be brief... just wanted to say that Sarina Elizabeth is the awesomest baby in all the land and I want to kiss her...

Oh, yeah, like I really need one more thing to update

I am the reluctant MySpacer. I didn't mean to be here. It was Siobhan McCrudden's fault. I was in search of some good new acoustic music to listen to when I stumbled across her MySpace page, and I wan...
