About Me

NOTE ON FRIEND REQUESTS:
If you request friendship and you belong to Motivated Moms, expect me to mark it as SPAM. I may be a mom, and I may be motivated, but I'm not into joining a group of people I have nothing other than that in common with. Not to mention, I hate being comment spammed with 'motivationals' and the like. You want me to get motivated? Ok...let's discuss Jigsaw and play a game...

REALLY ABOUT ME:

Jodi Lee is a 30-something year old writer from Manitoba, Canada. She is the sole-custodial parent of two budding novelists; Rhia and Care. They're teenagers - gods help us all...

Jodi has been writing and editing professionally for 9 years, dividing her time between her own WiPs and those of her clients. Published in numerous magazines and online sources, she is currently exploring the shadows and hidden, bloody corners of her mind through dark fiction, horror/splatterpunk and the occasional foray into sci-fi. A current list of works in progress, writing challenge information and publication schedule is located on her blog: Jodi Lee Bleeds .

In the fall of 2006, Jodi accepted a position with Apex Science Fiction & Horror Digest as a Submissions Editor, which has translated into Copy Editor and Contributing Editor. She now feels that stalking Sizemore was the right decision after all. In spring of 2007, she accepted a position with Lachesis Publishing as Junior Editor, and more recently as Editor in Chief of LBF Books, the second imprint in the Lachesis family. She continues to freelance through Marked in Red , where she is joined by Louise Bohmer and Jeremy Seffens, Editor in Chief of Lachesis Publishing and Senior Editor, respectively.

Jodi is Founder and Elder of Glas Celli - her spiritual center, where friends and family meet to discuss and study pagan paths. She's often asked if they turn up in her stories.

Maybe...just maybe...they do.

Jodi is participating in National Novel Writing Year, a spin-off of National Novel Writing Month. She has chosen a word count goal of 150,000 words to complete before December 31st, 2008.
15155 / 150000 words. 10% done!
